The mission of our group practice is to provide an integrated therapeutic approach in order to help you optimize your mental health and overall sense of well-being. Christina Jurekovic, Ph.D., LPC
Founder | Licensed Professional Counselor
Christina Jurekovic is the founder of Wellness Associates, LLC, a group practice that provides clinical mental health services in Colorado Springs, CO. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Licensed Professional School Counselor for K-12. She received a Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Adams State University, M.A. in Counseling and Human Services from the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs, and B.A. in Psychology from Seattle Pacific University. Christina works as a high school counselor at Cheyenne Mountain High School, and she teaches and supervises new counselors. Her research interests include wellness, resiliency, suicide prevention, leadership, clinical supervision, and multicultural competence. She specializes in helping clients who are experiencing grief/loss, anxiety, depression, career transitions, and relationship/family concerns.
Christine Kneupper, M.S.W., LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Christine Kneupper is a Colorado Licensed Clinical Social Worker, School Social Worker, Teacher, and Nurse. She received her Master's Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio, and is presently enrolled in the Doctor of Naturopathy program from the Trinity School of Natural Health in Ohio. Christine works with adolescents and adults in the Cognitive Behavioral, Strength-Based, Brief Solution-Focused, and Gerontology Modalities. Anxiety/Depression Disorders, Motivation, Nutritional Healing, Trauma, Grief and Loss, and the Mind-Body-Spirit connection are her therapeutic specialties. Christine brings to her practice a wealth of knowledge and experience both professional as well as personal. She takes a positive approach to life’s conflicts and experiences that are out of one’s control and helps clients focus on gratitude and their innermost individual healing that will bring about a happy, successful, and peaceful life.
Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
Chelsea Staver, M.A., LPCC
Chelsea Staver is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate. She received her B.A. from John Brown University, and her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the CACREP accredited program at Denver Seminary. Chelsea focuses on meeting the needs of the individuals she works with by providing empathetic understanding, unconditional positive regard, and ample encouragement to achieve therapeutic goals. Chelsea utilizes several modalities to help her clients be successful including solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. She specializes in working with adolescents, pre-marital counseling, couples counseling, family counseling, and issues of spirituality.
